The unexpected

---------------------------------------

It was more than a week since Darshik returned to the city and quickly immersed himself in a life of luxury, indulgence, and excitement. His days were filled with parties at exclusive venues, where he became the center of attention. The nights blurred into a continuous celebration, and racing cars added an adrenaline-fueled thrill to his routine. The girls were drawn to his charm, and each brief romance became a part of his glamorous existence. Everything was going great with him

The morning sun gently bathed the open garden of the malhotra mansion in a warm golden hue. The scent of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the crisp air as Suryavardhan and Ragini sat at the garden table, enjoying a quiet breakfast. Birds chirped softly in the background.

Suryavardhan took a slow bite from his plate, his gaze drifting to the lush greenery around them, but his mind was elsewhere. After a moment of quiet, he glanced at his wife and asked, "Where's Darshik?"

Ragini sighed, shaking her head with a faint, amused smile. "Of course, he's sleeping. Darshik doesn't have mornings in his life. For him, it's always afternoon and night!" She chuckled lightly, her eyes reflecting a mixture of affection and mild exasperation.

Suryavardhan nodded, a half-smile tugging at his lips. "That's true." He took another bite, chewing thoughtfully as he continued to observe the serene morning.

Ragini leaned back in her chair, her voice lowering slightly as she spoke again, "Since he came back, I've seen three different girls walk out of his room. God knows what this boy is up to."

Suryavardhan let out a low laugh, shaking his head as he set down his fork. "Oh, come on. He's a young man, Ragini. My boy's got the looks, the charm... Of course, girls are going to throw themselves at him. He'll have his share of flings, it's inevitable." He paused, eyes softening as he gazed at the garden. " Besides, let him enjoy it while he can. Things are going to change for him soon enough."

Ragini's expression shifted slightly, a hint of concern flickering in her eyes."Have you decided when you'll talk to him?"."

Suryavardhan's demeanor grew more serious. He leaned forward slightly, his gaze narrowing with determination. "I've been thinking about that, Ragini. It's just a matter of finding the right time."

Ragini met his eyes, her voice soft but firm. "Do you really think he'll agree? You know how stubborn he is."

Suryavardhan's eyes darkened with resolve. "He has to, Ragini. He has to."

Two days later~

-------------------------

Suryavardhan sat behind his imposing mahogany desk in his study room , engaged in a serious conversation with a bald man whose commando-like posture exuded authority. The man, Robin, spoke in low, measured tones, his eyes sharp and focused.

Just then, the door swung open, and Darshik strode in, "You wanted to see me, Dad?" He strode in, shoulders squared, eyes scanning the room with casual confidence, his gaze briefly landing on the assortment of weapons displayed on the table.

"Hey, that's nice," Darshik said, picking up a sleek, polished gun. "What's this one?"

"It's a Walther 9mm handgun," Robin said, his tone clipped. "Made in Germany. Excellent design-high performance."

Darshik twirled the gun in his fingers, admiring its weight. "I'll take it," he said casually looking at it . "By the way, there are so many weapons around here... What's all this about?"

"We're importing these, Darshik. If you want to take it, you can. Just be careful and don't shoot anybody, okay?" Suryavardhan said, his tone casual, as if discussing the weather.

Darshik tucked the gun into the back of his belt, a playful smirk on his face. "I'll try not to but it if I do... I know you'll handle it. Anyway, tell me what you called me for!" He settled into a chair across from his father.

Suryavardhan nodded, gesturing for Robin to leave the room. The door clicked shut, and the air grew heavier with unspoken words. "Darshik, listen to me carefully," Suryavardhan began, his voice low and serious. "You are my only son. I will never do any harm to you. So what I m about to say, just understand it, alright?"

"Dad, why are you playing riddles? Just say what you have to say. I'm listening," Darshik replied, annoyance creeping into his tone.

Suryavardhan took a deep breath, the weight of his words pressing down on him. "You are going to get married, Darshik. To Saanvi. And you are not going to protest about it you get that?" he stated, his gaze unwavering.

Darshik's eyes narrowed, his expression transforming from confusion to outright disbelief. "Excuse me? What did you just say?"

"You heard me," Suryavardhan said calmly, though his voice carried an undeniable finality.

Darshik's face flushed with fury, and he stood abruptly, the chair scraping loudly against the floor."Are you out of your mind, Dad? Let me tell you very clearly I will not marry anyone at this point, let alone that orphan Saanvi! Doesn't your charity end with raising her and her brother? That you now eager to use me as your good deed for her?" Darshik's anger erupted, his voice echoing in the room.

"Darshik, please try to understand. This is very important! You have to marry her, and keep this in mind I'm not asking you-I'm telling you, you have to give in " Suryavardhan replied, matching his son's intensity.

"Do hell with your important! Let me be very clear: I... am... not... going... to... do... anything... like that! You get it? Keep that bitch out of my life okay ... don't even think it's possible" Darshik shot back his temper flaring.

"Darshik... Darshik... listen to me!" Suryavardhan called after him, but Darshik stormed out of the study, the door slamming shut behind him, leaving his father

in a silence thick with unresolved tension.
